GRANITE EARTH INSTITUTEThe Granite Earth Institute is a sister organization to the Northwest Earth Institute (NWEI), which offers group discussion courses that bring people together, raise their ecological awareness, and facilitate profound change in their values, habits, and actions in caring for the environment. | |
The Northwest Earth Institute (NWEI) publishes study guides for discussion groups in sustainability, food choices, voluntary simplicity, global warming, bioregionalism, and ecospirituality.
You can choose to organize a discussion course in your
church, your workplace, your neighborhood, or in your men's or women's group.
You can get your friends together, or advertise in local papers. All you
need is the desire and enthusiasm to bring a group of people together around
one of the study areas. Each course meets for several sessions
(generally weekly) of one to two hours. Prior to each session members read
the workbook material for that session; this gives a common focus for discussion.
See
for more information.
Study guides must be ordered directly from NWEI at http://nwei.org/order-form. A manual for course organizers may also be ordered or downloaded.
